SCG Welcomes Summer Intern from UVA
SCG is excited to welcome aboard Nicholas Smith. He will be participating in SCG’s 3-month internship program, which provides students with the opportunity to gain practical, real-life work experience in the field of public relations.
Nicholas is a senior at the University of Virginia (UVA), where he is a candidate for B.A. degrees in Economics, as well as Political Philosophy, Policy and Law with a minor in Leadership through the McIntire School of Commerce. He first recognized his interest in public relations while working for the Charlottesville activist group, Advocates for a Sustainable Albemarle Population.
Nicholas currently writes for UVA’s student newspaper, Cavalier Daily. In addition, he is actively involved in the Community Engagement and Environmental Sustainability committees of the Student Council, a program developer for UVA’s Resident Life Office, a volunteer at Madison House community service organization and a brother of the international business fraternity, Alpha Kappa Psi.
In his spare time, Nicholas enjoys going to the gym, reading about sci-fi and fantasy, and volunteering for various environmental conservation and community sustainability groups.
