SCG Goes to Google

Monday, March 30th, 2009

On March 19-20, SCG had the opportunity to attend the Google IPv6 california2009-0072Implementors Conference, which was held on the Google campus in Mountain View, California.

SCG’s client, NTT America, was speaking at the event.  SCG spent two days with IPv6 leaders and innovators from across the nation.  The purpose of the conference was to address and share IPv6 implementation experience, advice and associated research.

Joya said the Google complex was exactly like a college campus.  With volleyball courts, swimming pools, massage rooms with professional california2009-0123masseuses, a state-of-the-art fitness facility and a dining facility featuring complimentary food from all over the world,  it’s no wonder Google has long been viewed as one of the best places to work.

Today is the fifth anniversary of Subudhi Consulting Group, Inc. Five years ago, Joya was working as a freelance public relations consultant. After an exciting sabbatical in Amsterdam, Joya returned to her roots in Richmond, Virginia in search of a job.

In a recent interview with WORKMAGAZINE Joya said “I didn’t intend to start a business.” “One day, I realized that what I was doing to support myself while looking for a job really was my job.”

And that was the start of SCG. Five years and dozens of clients later, SCG has earned a reputable name in the high-tech PR industry.
